About the Internship / Opportunity
The 5th CNLU-CARCIL National IBC Moot Court Competition focuses on contemporary challenges within insolvency law, specifically examining the balance between the commercial wisdom of the Committee of Creditors (CoC) and the principles of transparency and timeliness in the resolution plan selection process. The competition further explores the standard of proof for fraudulent transactions in summary tribunal proceedings, offering participants a nuanced understanding of insolvency jurisprudence under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC).
This opportunity enables participants to engage in structured mooting through virtual preliminary and quarter-final rounds, followed by physical semi-final and final rounds at the CNLU campus. Students will undertake intensive legal research, prepare detailed memorials, and deliver oral arguments before experienced evaluators, thereby refining their advocacy and analytical competencies. The competition encourages a solution-oriented approach to insolvency issues and develops professional readiness by simulating realistic tribunal and appellate proceedings.
By participating, students gain valuable exposure to procedural intricacies and practical applications of corporate insolvency law, making this event particularly beneficial for those aspiring to build careers in corporate litigation, restructuring, or insolvency practice.
