The National Law Institute University (NLIU), Bhopal, through its Civil and Criminal Justice Cell (CCJC), invites law students and young professionals from across India to participate in the 3rd National Workshop cum Competition on Drafting and Pleading 2025, scheduled from 7th to 9th November 2025. The workshop offers an exceptional opportunity to gain hands-on experience in legal drafting, advocacy, and pleading — vital skills for every aspiring legal professional.
About the Workshop
The 3rd NLIU-CCJC National Workshop cum Competition on Drafting and Pleading 2025 aims to bridge the gap between theoretical learning and practical application in the legal field. Organized by the Civil and Criminal Justice Cell (CCJC) of NLIU, Bhopal, this event is designed to enhance participants’ understanding of drafting and advocacy through a mix of expert-led sessions and competitive learning.
The workshop will be conducted under the guidance of Dr. Aman Hingorani, Senior Advocate, Supreme Court of India. Participants will engage in interactive sessions focusing on effective legal drafting, pleadings, and advocacy. The competition segment will allow participants to apply their learning in real-world legal scenarios, with the best performers receiving cash prizes, trophies, and internship opportunities.

About the Organizer
The Civil and Criminal Justice Cell (CCJC) at the National Law Institute University, Bhopal, focuses on simplifying complex areas of civil and criminal law and imparting practical legal education through workshops, lectures, and competitions. The Cell also publishes The CCJC Express, a monthly newsletter featuring key judgments from the Supreme Court and High Courts of India. In addition, it runs the Snippet Series and CCJC Blog to make legal concepts accessible to the general public.

Mode of the Event
The workshop will be conducted offline at the NLIU campus, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh.
Eligibility Criteria
- Open to all law students (undergraduate and postgraduate), young professionals, and judicial aspirants across India.
- No prior experience in legal drafting is required. Beginners and advanced learners are both encouraged to participate.

- With Accommodation: ₹4,500 per person (includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner).
- Without Accommodation: ₹2,500 per person (includes lunch and high tea).

1. Who can participate in the NLIU-CCJC Drafting and Pleading Workshop?
All law students, including those enrolled in LL.B. or LL.M. programs, as well as young legal professionals, are eligible to participate.
2. Will certificates be provided to participants?
Yes. Every participant will receive a Certificate of Participation issued by NLIU, Bhopal.
3. Is accommodation available for outstation participants?
Yes. Accommodation on a shared basis is available at NLIU campus for ₹4,500, inclusive of meals.
4. What will be taught during the workshop?
The workshop covers drafting of pleadings, petitions, legal applications, and written submissions. Practical exercises and expert feedback will be integral parts of the sessions.
5. Are there any prizes for the competition?
