About the National Legal Rights Consortium (NLRC)
The National Legal Rights Consortium (NLRC) operates under the Women’s Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (WICCI), a premier national business chamber for women. WICCI envisions a global impact by empowering women entrepreneurs, professionals, and leaders across industries. It actively engages the voices of thousands of women to create meaningful change in society and the economy.
About the Membership Opportunity
The Rajasthan Legal Rights Consortium, under the aegis of NLRC-WICCI, is inviting applications for state-level membership for 2025–26. This opportunity is exclusively for female law students across India who are passionate about promoting and protecting legal rights.
Each State Legal Rights Consortium consists of:
- Minimum 20 members
- Vice President
- President
Members will contribute to initiatives aimed at protecting legal rights, raising public awareness, providing legal support, and engaging with lawmakers.
Key Objectives of the Consortium
1. Advocating for Legal Rights
Members actively participate in legal reform initiatives and campaigns aimed at protecting and improving rights at the state level.
2. Raising Awareness
The consortium educates the public about their legal rights and empowers individuals to exercise them confidently.
3. Providing Legal Assistance
Through a network of advocates, the consortium offers pro bono legal guidance to those who cannot afford legal services.
4. Engaging with Legislators
Members collaborate with government agencies and lawmakers to influence policy and legal reforms in line with principles of justice.
Mode of Membership
Hybrid (Online + Offline engagement)
Eligibility Criteria
To apply, candidates must:
- Be female law students enrolled in a Rajasthan-based institution recognized by the Bar Council of India, or residents of Rajasthan.
- Have prior internship experience with legal firms, organizations, or advocates.
- Possess skills in social media management, public relations, or content creation.
- Be proficient in design tools such as Adobe or Canva.
Role and Responsibilities
As a Consortium Member, you will:
- Collaborate with the President and Vice President to shape the consortium’s strategic vision and roadmap.
- Work closely with other members to create a solutions-oriented, engaged leadership team.
- Lead community outreach and education initiatives related to legal rights.
- Develop policy recommendations, proposals, and public-private partnership concepts.
- Represent the consortium in interactions with government bodies, industry stakeholders, and the community.
