About the Centre for Alternative Dispute Resolution (NLUADR)

The Centre for Alternative Dispute Resolution (CADR) at National Law University Delhi aims to promote ADR methods among legal and non-legal professionals, students, and the general public. The Centre envisions a society that values harmony, peaceful coexistence, and diversity.

CADR emphasizes that ADR skills such as active listening, empathy, rational thinking, understanding diverse perspectives, and community interest are essential not only in resolving disputes but also as life skills for all. The Centre’s mission aligns with NLU Delhi’s vision of nurturing individuals who are technically proficient, socially relevant, and emotionally strong, viewing disputes as opportunities for growth, understanding, and positive change.

The National Law University Alternative Dispute Resolution Review Blog (NLUADR Blog) provides a platform for academicians, legal practitioners, research scholars, and students to engage with contemporary issues in ADR.

The Blog fosters analytical discourse on ADR mechanisms, examining their role in promoting justice, accessibility, and social harmony. Contributors can explore theoretical frameworks, practical applications, comparative perspectives, and emerging trends in dispute resolution.


Call for Blog Submissions

CADR invites original, insightful, and well-researched blog submissions on the theme of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Mechanisms.

Who can submit:

  • Academicians
  • Legal practitioners
  • Research scholars
  • Students

Submission Types:

  • Articles and Essays
  • Comments on recent legal advancements in ADR in India and globally
  • Article Reviews/Reactions to previously published NLUADR Blog posts
  • Case Notes analyzing recent Supreme Court or High Court judgements (Indian or international with relevance to India)
  • Book Reviews of recent literature on ADR

Other relevant submissions aligning with the theme are also welcome.


Submission Guidelines

Manuscript Requirements:

  • Length: 1500–2000 words, inclusive of footnotes if any
  • Sources must be hyperlinked; footnotes only if necessary, using OSCOLA
  • For Indian case law, provide accessible case links
  • Title: Maximum 10 words
  • Synopsis/Introduction: Maximum 200 words
  • Include brief biographical information (2 lines) at the top
  • Include up to three keywords relevant to the theme

Formatting:

  • Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt
  • Line spacing: 1.5, Alignment: Justified
  • Paragraph spacing: 6 pt (before and after)

Other Guidelines:

  • Co-authorship allowed (maximum two authors)
  • Articles must be original; plagiarism will result in rejection
  • Analytical posts are preferred over descriptive ones
  • Cross-posting is allowed only with Editor permission and proper credit to the NLUADR Blog
  • Submissions are reviewed in two rounds; contributors are expected to incorporate Editor feedback

CADR reserves the right to accept or reject submissions. By submitting, you agree that CADR may publish your article on the NLUADR Blog. Editorial decisions are final.

  • Submissions sent to other email IDs will not be accepted

Note: Submissions are accepted on a rolling basis. Only manuscripts following the above guidelines will be considered.
