Eligibility & Requirements
Participants must be enrolled in an Integrated 5-year LL.B. program or a 3-year LL.B. program in any recognized university, whether in India or abroad. Each institution may send a maximum of three teams. Teams may consist of two or three members, with the structure including either two speakers or a combination of a speaker and researcher. All participants are required to maintain professionalism, adhere strictly to memorial formatting guidelines, and follow the dress code prescribed for the event.
Memorial preparation, formatting rules, anonymity protocols, and submission deadlines must be adhered to without deviation. Memorials exceeding the allowed page limit or containing identifying information can lead to penalties. Strict compliance with the rulebook ensures the integrity and fairness of the competition.
For national teams, a registration fee of INR 3000 is applicable (excluding accommodation). International teams are exempt from registration fees. Soft copies of both sides of the memorial must be emailed by 2 February 2026, and hard copies must be carried physically for submission during the event.

FAQs about ICFAI Moot Court Competition
1. Who can apply for the ICFAI Moot Court Competition?
Students pursuing either a 5-year integrated LL.B. program or a 3-year LL.B. program from recognized institutions in India or abroad may participate. Each institution may register up to three teams as per the competition rules. Team composition must strictly follow the guidelines outlined in the rulebook.
2. Is the ICFAI competition paid or unpaid?
For national teams, a registration fee of INR 3000 is applicable (without accommodation). International teams are not required to pay any registration fee. The event also offers numerous cash prizes, certificates, and SCC Online subscriptions, adding significant value to participation.
3. What is the last date to apply?
The deadline for registration is 31 January 2026, by 11:59 PM IST. Registrations submitted after this deadline will not be accepted.
4. What is the selection process?
Teams must first complete the registration form and then submit their memorials via email by 2 February 2026. After the memorial exchange and researcher test on 7 February, teams will compete in preliminary rounds followed by quarter-finals. Qualified teams will then proceed to the semi-finals and finals scheduled on 8 February 2026.
5. Will I receive a certificate after completion?
Yes. Certificates will be awarded to all registered teams who submit the soft copy of their memorials. Winners and special awardees will receive additional certificates, trophies, and SCC Online access benefits.
