About DNLU

Dharmashastra National Law University, Jabalpur (M.P.) was established in 2018 by the Madhya Pradesh Dharmashastra National Law University Act, 2018 (No. 24 of 2018).
The University’s mission is encapsulated in its motto, “सत्य वद। धचर।”, meaning “Speak the truth and act according to dharma.”

DNLU fosters a community of lifelong learners, where students are encouraged to participate in national and international competitions, engage in social justice initiatives, and collaborate with peers and faculty for holistic development. About JRKTPD’25

The Justice R.K. Tankha Memorial Parliamentary Debate 2025 (JRKTPD’25) stands as the flagship event of Dharmashastra National Law University, Jabalpur. It is organized annually in collaboration with the Office of Senior Advocate and Member of Parliament, Mr. Vivek Tankha, in cherished memory of Hon’ble Justice R.K. Tankha.

Following the grand success of JRKTPD’24, which witnessed participation from leading universities across India, this year’s edition aims to further strengthen the spirit of intellectual rigour, meaningful discourse, and excellence in debating.


Eligibility

The competition is open to:

  • Individuals who have completed or are pursuing an undergraduate or postgraduate degree from any UGC-recognised university.
  • School students are also eligible to form cross-university teams.

Rounds

  • After the preliminary rounds, 16 teams will break into the quarterfinals.
  • The top 8 teams will advance to the semi-finals, followed by the Grand Finale.
  • A detailed rulebook will be released soon.

Registration Fee

  • ₹3,000 per person (with accommodation)
  • ₹2,000 per person (without accommodation)

Rewards

💰 Prize Pool: ₹3,50,000
