The Moot Court Competition (MCC 2025) is jointly organized by the Shri Vaishnav Institute of Law and the Shri Vaishnav Institute of Forensic Science. It provides law students across India an unparalleled platform to demonstrate their advocacy skills, refine research aptitude, and experience the dynamics of real courtroom procedures.
This flagship competition aims to enhance participants’ understanding of law through critical legal reasoning, persuasive argumentation, and professionalism—fostering a generation of lawyers ready to lead the legal fraternity.
About the Moot Court Competition 2025
The Moot Court Competition 2025 simulates the experience of appellate court hearings. Participants will engage in preparing written submissions (memorials) and present oral arguments before a panel of judges. This year’s problem is based on family law and constitutional morality, with intricate questions involving maintenance under Section 25 of the Hindu Marriage Act, live-in relationships, and gender-neutral interpretation of laws.
Students will gain exposure to current jurisprudential debates and the evolving constitutional landscape of India. The event will be conducted in hybrid mode—online preliminary rounds and an offline final round at SVVV Campus, Indore.
With attractive cash prizes worth ₹41,000, trophies, and certificates, MCC 2025 continues its tradition of nurturing excellence and rewarding brilliance in legal advocacy.
