About the Opportunity
The 12th IUU Moot Court Competition 2025, organized by the Moot Court Society, School of Law, IMS Unison University, is scheduled for 21–22 November 2025. Designed for students pursuing law across India, the competition aims to enhance participants’ advocacy and research abilities while fostering a deep understanding of legal principles and ethics.
This year’s moot proposition revolves around complex issues of arbitration law, focusing on questions of unilateral appointment of arbitrators, the applicability of Section 12(5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, and the interpretation of force majeure and liquidated damages clauses.
Participants will undergo a series of rounds including Preliminary, Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals, and Final, judged by experienced academicians, advocates, and members of the judiciary.
Winning teams and individuals will receive cash prizes worth ₹50,000 in total, along with trophies and certificates of excellence.

Eligibility & Requirements
The competition is open to all students pursuing 3-year or 5-year LL.B. programs and LL.M. students from recognized universities or colleges across India. Each institution may send only one team consisting of two speakers and one researcher.
Participants must adhere strictly to the formal dress code and maintain courtroom decorum at all times. Memorials must follow the 22nd Bluebook citation style, and teams are expected to comply with the prescribed formatting and submission deadlines.
The registration fee is ₹6,000 per team (inclusive of GST), payable via NEFT/IMPS/UPI. Teams must complete both the registration form and payment confirmation by the specified dates.

1. Who can apply for this Moot Court Competition?

2. Is this Moot Court Competition paid or unpaid?
