Online Counselling Registration: Who Can Apply?

Eligibility & Invitation Process

  • Candidates are invited category-wise based on AILET 2026 merit, in a ratio of approximately three candidates per seat.
  • Invitations are available via:
    • Email and SMS
    • AILET 2026 candidate login dashboard
  • NLU Delhi will not be responsible for undelivered emails or SMS, so candidates must actively check their login.

Counselling Registration Fee for AILET 2026

Category-Wise Fee Details

  • General Category: ₹30,000
  • SC / ST / OBC / EWS / PwD: ₹20,000

Key Points:

  • Fee payment is mandatory to be considered for the provisional merit list.
  • Payment must be made online only (UPI, debit/credit card, net banking).
  • Late or failed payments will not be entertained under any circumstances.

Documents Required for Online Counselling Registration

Mandatory Uploads (Single PDF File)

Candidates must upload self-attested copies of the following:

  • Class 12 marksheet (minimum:
    • 45% – General
    • 42% – OBC
    • 40% – SC/ST/PwD)
  • Class 10 marksheet
  • Valid character certificate (issued within last 6 months)
  • Valid category certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwD)
    • OBC & EWS certificates must be issued on or after April 1, 2025
  • Candidates appearing in compartment exams in the admission year are ineligible

Provisional Merit List & Admission Confirmation

What Happens After Selection?

  • Provisionally selected candidates (1st–3rd list) must pay a ₹50,000 admission confirmation fee.
  • This amount will be adjusted against the total fee.
  • Balance fee must be paid by April 30, 2026.
  • Candidates from the 4th merit list onwards must pay the full fee as per schedule.
  • Failure to pay within the deadline will result in automatic cancellation of admission.
