About the Workshop
The Faculty Development Workshop on “Teaching Criminal Law: Curriculum, Syllabus & Pedagogy” is a two-day immersive and interactive program designed specifically for early-stage and mid-career law academics. It will be held on November 15–16, 2025, at the NLSIU Training Centre, Bengaluru.
Through expert-led sessions, participants will learn how to design a curriculum that effectively covers the thematic structure of substantive criminal law while promoting critical thinking, engagement, and analytical learning in students.
The workshop will be led by distinguished academics from leading Asian universities, including NUS, the University of Hong Kong, and Singapore Management University.

Eligibility & Requirements
The Teaching Criminal Law Workshop is open to:
- Early-stage law academics and faculty members with up to seven years of teaching experience.
- Experienced faculty with more than seven years of teaching experience are also welcome to attend.
Applicants will be selected based on their CV, academic background, and a concise statement of purpose outlining their teaching interests and objectives.
Diversity of experience and institutional background will be considered during the selection process. As there are limited slots, participants are encouraged to apply early and complete the required payment upon selection.
Workshop Fee
The Workshop Fee is INR 20,000 (all inclusive).
