The Amity National Moot Court Competition 2025 offers budding law students a platform to sharpen their advocacy, research, and analytical skills. Organized by the Moot Court Society (MCS) of Amity Law School, Jaipur, this hybrid-format event bridges academic knowledge with courtroom realism.

The competition is open to students enrolled in 3-year or 5-year LL.B. programs recognized by the Bar Council of India. Through rigorous rounds—Preliminary, Quarter-finals (online), Semi-finals, and Finals (offline at the Jaipur campus)—participants experience the full spectrum of courtroom practice.

The event’s central theme revolves around freedom of speech, constitutional law, and media accountability, tested through an intricate fictional case from the Republic of Varaj. It’s a challenging yet enlightening experience for future advocates to argue on constitutional rights, governance ethics, and limits of expression.

  • Working Hours: As per round schedule (approx. 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM)

Competition Rounds:

  • Preliminary and Quarter-Finals: Online
  • Semi-Finals and Finals: Offline at Jaipur Campus
  • Evaluation based on advocacy, research, legal reasoning, and courtroom etiquette.

Eligibility & Requirements

  • Open to all students pursuing 3-year or 5-year LL.B. programs from institutions recognized by the Bar Council of India.
  • Each team shall consist of 2 to 3 members (2 Speakers + 1 Researcher).
  • Teams must submit memorials for both sides (Petitioner & Respondent).
  • Memorials should follow Bluebook 20th Edition citation format and adhere to formatting rules (Times New Roman, 12 pt, 1.5 spacing).
  • No amendments in team composition after registration.

Skills Required:

  • Legal drafting & research ability
  • Oral advocacy and reasoning skills
  • Command over English and courtroom decorum
  • Strong understanding of constitutional and criminal law principles
